The 32nd Annual LaSalle Strawberry Festival takes place this weekend with a location change.

The ongoing high water levels of the Detroit River has caused this years festival to move to Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex.

The festival kicks off on Thursday with opening ceremonies at 6:15pm and fireworks will once again light up the night Friday.

The weekend includes the always popular carnival, food, crafts, entertainment and much more.

Bike Friendly Windsor-Essex will be hosting a free bicycle valet service. They will be located near the front gates. Bag check is available for $2 per bag.

Admission is $5 per person at the gate with children under 6 and seniors over 65 free.
