The inaugural Electric Avenue International Jazz Festival brought the sounds of jazz, soul, and blues to Via Italia and Electric Avenue Art Alley in Windsor’s Erie Street East district.

The festival featured an impressive lineup of local, Canadian, and American talent, including JUNO-nominated Windsor jazz artist Russ Macklem, Toronto’s Sam Dickinson, Vancouver’s Nick Bracewell, Detroit bassist Michael Abbo, the Kasan Belgrave Quintet, and the highly anticipated Detroit/Windsor Tenor Sax Battle. Local favourites The New Standard, Organization Trio, the Assumption Jazz Band, and the Russ Macklem Detroit Quintet also took the stage throughout the weekend.
