PHOTOS: Crowds Line Ouellette Avenue For Canada Day Parade
The annual Canada Day Parade made its way through downtown Windsor on Wednesday morning, filling Ouellette Avenue with colourful floats, marching bands, performers, and community organizations.
More than 60 entries took part in this year’s parade, including The Fire Guy, giant inflatables, the Multicultural Council of Windsor and Essex County’s Parade of Flags, the Philippine Heritage Band, and Grand Marshal Patty Handysides, who led the procession. The annual event once again brought music, entertainment, and community spirit to the city’s downtown core.
During and after the parade, visitors enjoyed the Canada Day Arts Fair, which featured more than 25 local artists, family-friendly activities, live entertainment, and opportunities to shop from local vendors.
